Memories from the 2nd Global Congress for Consensus in Pediatrics & Child Health
(Moscow. May 17-20, 2011)
The successful CIP Congress brought at its second time a global academic debate platform searching for consensus and agreements on main child health pathologies, difficulties and controversies. The Scientific Committee accomplished an innovative and stimulating program. This second conference was honored by 95 worldwide eminent speakers in 118 presentations, 7 plenary sessions, 6 controversies and consensus meetings, 8 symposia sessions, and 15 Master classes; Major dilemmas and hot issues in Pediatrics were discussed. We had an American Academy of Pediatrics Consensus on Clinical and Community Preventive Care session, a Pediatric Radiology session and a Pediatric Surgery program. 170 abstracts were displayed using the newest computer technology out of 400 abstracts that were sent for review. CIP website (www.cipediatrics.org) had 97, 834 entries during the last two and half years. The concept for the CIP congress and program was developed for Pediatricians working in Primary and Secondary Care, as well as for specialists in the diverse areas of Pediatrics, Pediatric Surgeons, Family Medicine Doctors, General Practitioners, Researchers and Policy Makers.
